Alex Hawley is a Certified Pro Tools Recording Engineer from Boulder, Colorado. After graduating with honors in jazz guitar performance and audio engineering at the University of Colorado in Denver, he started working as an engineer and sound designer at Coupe Studios. Through Coupe, he has gained experience engineering for touring bands and songwriters, as well as post-production work on films and national television.

Alex's background in jazz performance enables him to bring a valuable skill set to the studio as an engineer. His musical approach is paired with an attention to detail and a drive to 'raise the bar'. And when he isn't mixing on Coupe's SSL console, Alex is probably writing gear reviews as a contributing writer for Recording Magazine.
